Mission Statement

"The objectives of the Lake County Historical Society are to gather, preserve and make available to the Lake County Museum, records, and other material relating to the history of Lake County and the State of Oregon, to stimulate interest in and of the locality's past."

Membership Information
The Lake County Historical Society welcomes any person interested in the history of Lake County and the State of Oregon to join.

Dues are as follows:

  • Lifetime Membership: $150.00 per couple or individual.
  • Annual Membership Dues: $15.00 per year per couple or individual.

Projects

  • The Society provides financial support to the Lake County Museum.
  • An historical book is published every 3 or 4 years on people and/or events from Lake County.
  • The Society is responsible for maintaining the Historic Village.
  • A periodic newsletter is published and sent to members.

Meetings and Activities

  • Lake County Historical Society meetings are held every third Thursday of the month. We have a potluck at each meeting.
  • Everyone is welcome to come and check us out.
  • The Annual Banquet is held in May each year, featuring a no-host dinner, speaker(s), awards and a silent auction.
  • A plant and yard sale is held the 1st Saturday in June at the Historic Village.
  • A Summer Field Trip is planned for August every year.
